Before coming to the United States in 1994, Zhu was a Wellcome Trust Research Fellow at Oxford Brookes University in England where he obtained his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering. In 2003, he earned an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

 

 

 

 

 

In November 2003, PA Early Stage received a $15 million capital commitment to its latest venture fund from the Pittsburgh Life Sciences Greenhouse (the "PLSG"), and PA Early Stage plans to invest approximately $20 million in Pittsburgh-based life sciences companies. The firm has established an office in Pittsburgh at the PLSG headquarters.
