PA Early Stage Announces Promotion of Four to Partner

Dean E. Miller joined PA Early Stage Partners in 1998 as an Associate, was promoted to Senior Associate in 1999 and then to Principal in 2000. Prior to joining PA Early Stage, Mr. Miller served as the Chief Financial Officer of Adaptiv Learning Systems, a venture-backed start-up company spun out of the University of Pennsylvania's Department of Psychology. There, Mr. Miller worked with the other senior management team members to analyze and execute financial, strategic, operational and marketing decisions. Mr. Miller also spent seven years at the Chubb Group in several management positions where he directed enterprise software development, operations, and financial management. Mr. Miller holds a B.A. in business administration and psychology from Franklin and Marshall College and an M.B.A. with distinction from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. He is currently on the Boards of Directors of Incurrent Solutions and Plantgenix, is an observer to the

Board of Directors of VIPdesk, and is the President of the Wharton Private Equity Network.

Scott D. Nissenbaum joined PA Early Stage Partners in 1998 as an Analyst, was promoted to Associate in 1999 and then to Principal in 2000. Prior to joining PA Early Stage, Mr. Nissenbaum was co-founder and Vice President of Quaker State Mortgage Corporation, a commercial mortgage banking operation that provides debt restructuring and financing for distressed commercial properties. While building operations and honing his financial and analytical skills at Quaker State, Mr. Nissenbaum served as an adjunct faculty member in the Management Information Systems Department of St. Joseph's University, focusing on business software applications. Mr. Nissenbaum earned a B.S. in finance and a minor in economics from The Pennsylvania State University and received his M.B.A. with a specialization in finance from St. Joseph's University. He is currently on the Boards of Directors of Mobility Technologies, EZ Prints, and Fortera, and is an observer to the Boards of Directors of eDuction, RenuitNow, and Haley Enterprise.
