InGrid Receives 11th US Patent for Security Technology

Patent Portfolio Describes New Class Of Home Protection Systems

October 10, 2006: Berwyn, PA - InGrid, the leader in digital home protection, today announced that the US Patent Office has awarded InGrid the 11th patent for its wireless security technology. The latest patent, 7,119,658, when combined with the rest of InGrid's patent portfolio, describes enabling technology for the first new class of protection systems for home and small business in over 15 years.

 

InGrid's wireless grid technology is almost impossible to defeat since there are no single points of failure. Existing security systems are built using a single control panel that can easily be found and disabled by burglars. Wireless grid technology also enables two-way sensors that are smaller, more secure, easier to install, and have a longer battery life than any existing home security sensors.

 

 

 

InGrid expects to release its second generation products to partners in the first quarter of 2007, including the first IP-based client-server architecture developed for home protection systems. This architecture enables significant new customer-centric services via broadband Internet.
